Autonomous mobile robot (AMR) manufacturer Seegrid has introduced its latest Palion product family for automated material handling.
The Palion pallet truck series 8 has enhanced pallet staging and lane staging capabilities that enables it to autonomously identify, build, and deplete lanes for precise, efficient pick-up and drop-off of palletised goods.
Seegrid’s new pallet truck also features auto-charging to remove what the company described as “a costly and dangerous human touchpoint” and boost productivity by automating scheduling, dispatch, and charging to keep operations running 24/7.
Jeff Christensen, vice president of product at Seegrid, said: “Now more than ever, our customers need flexible and reliable end-to-end automation solutions to safely move materials in their dynamic environments.
“Seegrid Palion AMRs are designed specifically to help customers improve safety, increase throughput, and address labour shortages.
“We will continue to deliver on our commitment to provide innovative solutions for customers to automate even more processes and applications for continued improvement and safety across their facilities.”
The new Palion tow tracker is a vision-guided AMR for horizontal moves. It autonomously transports cart trains and other payloads using proprietary technology for hands-free flexibility, increasing productivity and reducing cost.
“Our customers span the global supply chain and are looking to accelerate productivity amidst pressures to reduce costs and improve safety,” said Jim Rock, Seegrid’s chief executive officer.
“It’s a challenge we are uniquely equipped to solve, and we are very proud of our demonstrated track record helping some of the largest global brands in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and e-commerce realise the full potential of AMR technology.”
