Geek+, a manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGV), has chosen the AtomSphere Platform from Boomi, an intelligent connectivity and automation company, to automate its upcoming smart logistics platform.
Geek+ was established in Japan in 2017 and currently has customers across industries such as retail, apparel, pharmaceuticals, automotive, lithium batteries, photovoltaics, electronics and more in thousands of locations worldwide.
The company hopes to expand and generate new revenue streams and, to support this, it is developing a smart logistics platform in-house for its network of shippers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Faced with the challenge of numerous data formats and the introduction of technologies such as internet of things (IoT), Geek+ plans on producing a tool that can simplify and streamline the integration of all its applications and data.
“We are aiming to co-create a new logistics standard by utilising next-generation robotics technology to solve the increasingly serious labour shortage in Japan and the gap between the growth of e-commerce demand and the growth of physical volume,” said Yusuke Arima, system development group, Geek+.
“After evaluating various integration platforms, Geek+ chose Boomi’s intelligent, low-code, cloud-native platform for its versatility, development speed, and ease of use.
“The Boomi platform will enable us to connect our operations with our shippers, suppliers, and partners, while mitigating potential real-time supply chain issues.”
Geek+ (Stand i602) will be at IntraLogisteX 2023, which will be co-located with Robotics and Automation 2023 on 28-29 March 2023 at the NEC Birmingham. For more information, or to register to attend for free, visit www.intralogistex.co.uk or www.roboticsandautomation.co.uk.
