Geek+, a developer of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), has announced that its combined worldwide fleet of robots completed 10 billion picks over the past year.
Yong Zheng, Founder and CEO of Geek+, said: “We are very proud of what we have achieved recently. The amount of merchandise that our robots have handled, coupled with the savings in time and energy, demonstrate that mobile robots are a technology for today’s problems and a brighter future.”
According to the AMR firm, Geek+’s picking robots traveled more than 175 million kilometres throughout 2022, which exceeds the distance between the Earth and the sun.
What’s more, the company claims the number of items managed by Geek+ robots and warehouse management systems has reached as much as 750 million.
The company added that its robots combined activity saved customers more than 17,000 hours of manual labour in the past year.
