Netdragon Websoft, a Chinese game development company, has announced the appointment of Ms. Tang Yu, a virtual humanoid robot powered by artificial intelligence (AI), as the rotating CEO of its subsidiary, Fujian Netdragon Websoft.
The appointment is a move to pioneer the use of AI within the field of corporate management and to improve operational efficiency.
Tang Yu’s appointment highlights the company’s AI-focused strategy, with the company claiming this represents a major milestone on its journey to become a “metaverse organisation”.
Tang Yu was appointed to support the streamlining of process flow, enhance quality of work tasks and improve speed of execution. The AI bot is also intended to serve as a real-time data hub and analytical tool to support rational decision-making in daily operations, as well as to enable a more effective risk management
