Brain Corp, an artificial intelligence (AI) company that develops robotic solutions, has announced a new partnership with Google Cloud and that together they are launching BrainOS Inventory Insights, a solution designed to deliver advanced in-store inventory analytics to retailers.
Brain Corp, which claims to power the largest global fleet of autonomous robots in public spaces and the world’s largest fleet of robotic inventory scanners, has developed this proprietary end-to-end solution with Google Cloud to analyse inventory data collected by its BrainOS-powered inventory scanning robots.
The solution is intended to help retailers quickly identify out-of-stock and low stock items, assess product details, including where an item is located, if it’s in the correct location (planogram compliance) and ensure it’s priced correctly (price tag compliance).
What’s more, by providing localised insights into inventory, the two companies hope to support retailers to intelligently manage their stock, improve operational efficiencies and productivity and elevate their customer shopping experiences.
“Our partnership with Google Cloud has allowed us to develop an in-house inventory analytics solution that delivers an entirely new level of utility for retailers,” said Botond Szatmáry, VP of new technology and business development at Brain Corp.
“Having access to accurate and actionable insights like shelf-restock alerting, price tag compliance alerting and task management automation, allows retailers to fully optimise in-store operations to increase sales and provide amazing customer experiences.”
BrainOS Inventory Insights leverages Google Cloud’s Vertex AI Vision models, including the product recogniser and tag recogniser models. This is combined with Google Cloud’s BigQuery, which reportedly enables the AI firm to deliver its solution across retail segments at scale.
