Aerobotix, a leading robotic integrator, has announced that it has integrated and installed over 100 Fanuc robots in aerospace and defence projects.
The robots are used across five different countries supporting programmes ranging from the F-35 Lightning and the B-2 Stealth Bomber to Patriot and advanced hypersonic missile programmes.
Keith Pfeifer, engineering manager at Aerobotix described hailed the achievement as “a major milestone for a small business, particularly in a niche market”.
“The use of robots has drastically reduced the time and cost needed to complete these tasks and creates an ergonomically-friendly and less hazardous work environment,” said Pfeifer. “In fact, one of the main goals of Aerobotix is to ensure safer work conditions for our customers.”
Aerobotix said it will continue to work closely with the aerospace and defence industry to provide technically low-risk and affordable robotic solutions.
