BAE Systems and Malloy Aeronautics have announced plans to explore the development of an all-electric uncrewed air system (UAS) with heavy lift capabilities for military, security and civilian customers.
The all-electric powered concept vehicle, known as the T-650, will be designed with a top speed of 140km/h, 300kg payload and 30km range.
According to BAE, the technology could be used for a range of applications such as performing ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore movements to support military and security operations and logistics.

Beyond military applications, both companies believe there is also potential in the commercial, security and humanitarian arenas.
