Locus Robotics, a provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for fulfilment warehouses, has unveiled a new service that it says will speed up the implementation of warehouse robots for the e-commerce sector.
The Locus Rapid Assessment & Design (RAD) service reportedly enables prospects and customers to quickly evaluate the productivity benefits and ROI of deploying Locus’s collaborative robotics solution.
The company claimed this will ensure that businesses are “ready to meet high demand in the post-pandemic economy”.
Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics, said: “Now is the right time for third party fulfilment, retail, industrial, and healthcare companies to prepare for the volume surge by deploying new technology solutions to maximise their fulfilment efficiency and productivity.
“The Locus Robotics RAD service is done while maintaining social distancing to quickly give customers and prospective partners insight into how our solution will improve warehouse productivity to meet growing fulfilment demand as we emerge from the current pandemic.”
Locus RAD offers insights into the fast ROI, benefits and suitability of deploying the Locus collaborative robotics solution through three steps:
1. Data collection: Locus gathers historical customer data about the facility;
2. Proposal development: Locus designs a complete Concept of Operations, including ROI, programme timelines, and key performance metrics;
3. Project plan review: Locus develops a comprehensive plan for fast implementation
According to Locus, RAD can deliver a detailed report and recommendations, speeding up evaluation and implementation times, and allowing operators to be ready for the coming demand, “in just one week”.
Furthermore, most of the Locus RAD plan can reportedly be executed without the need to visit the customer facility so that it will conform to strict access policies in effect during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine.
The Locus RAD service is available now to a range of fulfilment and distribution organisations worldwide.
