Global logistics and supply chain company CEVA Logistics has taken delivery of a fleet of collaborative robots at one of its warehouses in the Netherlands.
The order represents CEVA’s first-ever implementation of cobot technology in mainland Europe.
Some 15 cobots have been supplied by Locus Robotics to work directly alongside order pickers to maximise picking output and enable future growth.
Bart Beeks, head of north Europe cluster, CEVA Logistics, said: “Innovation is something that we’re not yet recognised for.
“But five years from now we want our people, our new recruits – and also the competition and industry – to say CEVA takes care of its people, it does really well in lean and its really driving innovation.”
Featuring an intuitive user interface, the flexible and scalable Locus cobots are fully integrated with CEVA’s warehouse management system.
